A message from AllGarth.
interesting- Spud, I'm keeping your message alive in my blog- in the 'locked' event of the thread being shut down...

it was very interesting! (and yea, you'rre getting better!)

[quote="Spud"]I feel the need to respond the same fashion:
Throughout the history of man and mankind, communication has been both an awakening, and a recipe for disaster. Certainly incredible leaps have been made with the medium and the method, but all too often, the message still comes across as empty, innaccurate or deceiving. To suggest that this is the case here, while a possibility, would not be appropriate.
(how's my "~~rapspeak~~" so far?)
The real requirements of the communicator and the receiver of such messages is establishing trust in the conveyance. Trust in of itself can be established over any predertimined time. While some may choose to to trustthe messenger immediately, others may opt to take a "wait and see" approach to the sender's message. Of course, I fall into the latter category.
(Pretty good, huh?)
When someone speaks of having experience in cyberspace- specifically in the Garth Brooks arena, I stand back and evaluate that statement based upon the information I have. Now, I'm no stranger to the Garth Brooks cyberworld. Most pepple here recognize my name from various other places where Garth is discussed.
As a longime member of various online communities, I have learned over time that when joining up, it is wise to sit back and read past discussion to learn about the way the site beholds itself. Myself? I would not be the one to step in and within 2 few weeks begin using collective terminology when explaining how "we" as a group should behave.
IMHO, it is you, Rapturella, who needs to look inside before you address the comminuity. Quite simply put, I was offended by your use of collective jargon, with flimsy attempts at hiding them among smilies, talk of the Christmas season and cyber expression like "*hugs*".
If you truly are a fan of Garth and his music, I welcome you into my soul. Otherwise, I take great pride in dissecting your posts to uncover any putrid sludge which may lie within yours.
